Megan Griffith (she/her)

Presentation: The Self Is a Story We Tell: Exploring Neurodivergent Identity, Masking, & Community

Hi there! My name is Megan and I'm the host of this event! I'm autistic and ADHD (auDHD) along with some other neurodivergencies.

I run The Neurocuriosity Club, my life coaching business designed to help other auDHDers and folks who are just trying to find healthy, helpful ways to live with their brain.

When I'm not working, you can usually find me writing everything, from poetry to fiction to grocery lists I will inevitably forget on the kitchen counter.

From 2020-2023, she was co-founder and coordinator of Black Trans Art & Joy Fund, she published her poetry collection ‘The Divine Wild’ in 2017 and has been working as a marketer at a local theatre in Amsterdam. They do intersectional, social justice and disability informed copywriting for people and organisations in fine arts, academic settings and advocacy spaces.

As a late-diagnosed AuDHDer, Alex is dedicated to exploring identity with neurodivergent clients and supporting their integration of knowledge related to their neurotypes.

They also have lived experience of OCD and specialize in working with individuals with OCD, utilizing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). For their full bio, click here.

...and so many more!!!

Neurodivergent =/= Only AUtism & ADHD

My aim with this summit is to represent ALL KINDS of neurodivergent lived experiences, not just the autistic, ADHD, or auDHD experiences. The word "neurodivergent" should not be confused with the word "neurodevelopmental disability." Although neurodevelopmental disabilities, which you are born with and grow with you, like autism & ADHD, are absolutely included under the neurodivergent umbrella, so are mental illnesses, tic disorders, differences related to trauma, and so much more.
